Two-vehicle collision sends one to hospital
NEGAUNEE TWP. — At approximately 1:10 P.M. Tuesday, May 22nd, the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office responded to US-41 at Midway Drive for a 2-vehicle personal injury accident.
A 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 34-year-old Jack Cram of Marquette, attempted to turn eastbound onto US-41 from Midway Drive. Due to an oncoming vehicle, Cram was unable to see a 2009 Pontiac Vibe, driven by 23-year-old Makayla Mayo of Gwinn, also oncoming.
Mayo was transported to UPHS – Marquette for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Cram was issued a citation for failing to yield right of way.
Assisting at the scene were the Michigan State Police and the Negaunee Township Fire Department.
