Just Believe awards sunscreen dispensers

SANDS TOWNSHIP — Local townships are getting a head start on helping people be prepared for the summer sun.

The Just Believe Foundation awarded sunscreen dispensers to three townships today. The grant from the Superior Health Foundation, as well as a sponsorship from Forefront Dermatology, allowed for the donation of a sunscreen dispenser to Sands Township.

“It’s the best feeling in the world to have them accept — so readily accept — a donation of a sunscreen dispenser,” said Delight Hill, Just Believe Awareness chair and trustee.

“People need to be protected from the sun as much as we realize we need vitamin D and all of that good stuff to be out in the sun; you do need to keep your skin protected,” said Sands Township Supervisor Darlene Walch.

Dispensers were also awarded to Marquette and Chocolay Townships. As of today, over 30 dispensers have been awarded thanks to the Just Believe Foundation.
