Tickets available for Beacon House’s Reverse Draw Raffle
MARQUETTE — The Beacon House’s annual Reverse Draw Raffle will take place on Friday, May 18th at 6;00 p.m. at the Marquette Regional History Center.
Unlike a normal raffle, the first ticket drawn isn’t the winner — they’re actually the first loser. In a Reverse Draw Raffle, the last remaining ticket is the winner of the $5,000 prize.
The event will also feature a prime rib or chicken dinner, as well as a $1,000 “Rebound Bowl” drawing. All proceeds from the event will benefit the daily operation of the Beacon House.
Beacon House staff says that while the event is always a good time, this year, they’re expecting it to be “magic.”
“We’re going to have some great entertainment. Naathan Phan, he was on America’s Got Talent, he’s a magician and he’s straight from Vegas,” said Margaret Parker, manager of the Beacon House. “We’ll have a great dinner. If you don’t want to buy a ticket, you just want to come to the dinner, or if you bought a ticket and you would like to have a guest come with you, we have those tickets as well.”
Tickets for the raffle are $100, and include entry into the raffles and dinner. Dinner tickets are $35, and do not include entry into the raffles. Ticket holders do not need to be present at the event to win.
They can be purchased at the Beacon House or on the Beacon House’s website HERE. There are only 250 tickets available.
