MSHS We the People team still looking for funding
MARQUETTE — With the days counting down to Marquette High School’s We the People competition in Washington, D.C., donations are still needed to make the trip.
There are still more opportunities to donate. The team needs just over $20,000 dollars to reach their goal, and are asking for support for the community. Thursday night, Hudson’s on US 41 will be donating with the help of their patrons.
“Anyone who eats there, if they just hand the We the People students their bill on their way out the door, Hudson’s will donate 15% of the tab to the We the People group. Hoping folk in the community come out to eat Thursday evening at Hudson’s,” said MSHS History Teacher Fred Cole.
The group will host another fundraising event on Saturday, April 21st. The Thomas Theater will be hosting their normal movie schedule, but tickets are only $5. $2.50 of those ticket prices will go to the group.
