Rollover accident sends one to hospital
RICHMOND TOWNSHIP — The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on M-35 Friday night.
A 2002 Dodge Caravan driven by 25 year-old Kevin Mays of Gwinn was travelling north on M-35 near County Road MQ when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled over.
Mays was wearing his seat belt. No airbags were deployed.
There were four other occupants in the car and all of them had seat belts on. One passenger was transported to UPHS — Marquette for a further assessment of their injuries.
M-35 traffic was reduced to one lane for about an hour. The crash remains under investigation.
Forsyth Township Police, Richmond Township Fire/EMS, UPHS — Marquette EMS and Bears Towing Service all assisted on the scene.
