ISHPEMING — An Ishpeming woman arrested at her home by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) Monday has been arraigned in Marquette County District Court.

Nakeesha Briggs, 34, is charged with six counts:

-Delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance, less than 50 grams, cocaine (felony)
-Maintaining a drug house (felony)
-Four counts of fourth degree child abuse (misdemeanors)

UPSET Detectives executed a search warrant at her residence at Sunnyside Estates and seized approximately 16 grams of cocaine, along with several loaded handguns and rifles. Living conditions inside the residence were found to be a danger to the four children living there.

They were put into the care of Child Protection Services. Briggs is due back in court October 18th for a preliminary exam.
