One injured, one arrested after one-vehicle car accident

IRON MOUNTAIN — One person was injured and another arrested after a one-vehicle accident in Iron Mountain Thursday evening.

Officers from the Iron Mountain Police Department say they were dispatched to a rollover accident on Park Avenue near the intersection of Millie Hill Estate Drive around 8 p.m. An SUV was traveling southbound on Park when a deer ran in front of the vehicle and caused the 25-year-old driver to lose control. The vehicle entered a ditch and rolled over.

One of the passengers, a 46-year-old from Iron Mountain, was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The driver was arrested for suspected Operating While Intoxicated and lodged at the Dickinson County Jail. His name is not being released until his arraignment in district court later this month.
