Officials arrest multiple subjects during narcotics investigation
SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTY — After a narcotics investigation in the city of Manistique, multiple subjects were arrested.
On Wednesday, Officers from various different agencies conducted an investigation. Upon the subjects arrested, the charges include; possession of meth, possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a drug house, possession of marijuana, bond violation, and an outstanding warrant.
This marks the second large scale narcotics investigation in a matter of 7 days and brings a total of 8 subjects lodged on numerous felony and misdemeanor charges. According to the Schoolcraft County Sheriff’s Department, this is a reminder of law enforcement’s commitment to combat the drug problem in Schoolcraft County.
Charges will be submitted to the Schoolcraft County Prosecutor’s Office for review. Subjects with information are encouraged to contact law enforcement and can remain anonymous. Manistique Public Safety, Schoolcraft County Sheriff’s Department and the Sault Tribe Police were involved in the investigation.
