UPPER PENINSULA — According to Upper Peninsula Power Company many are without power Tuesday morning, starting around 7 a.m. due to high winds.
Early Tuesday morning the 45 mph wind gusts have caused around 900 UPPCO customers in Houghton County, Baraga County, and Ontonagon County to be without power.
Nearly 100 customers in Marquette County are out of power starting just before 8 a.m.
UPPCO said they are addressing the outages as quickly as possible. UPPCO advises to always assume a down power line is energized, and to ensure safety do not touch it.
