UPDATE: Names released in confirmed shooting on city’s east side
UPDATE– According to the Marquette Police Department a shot was fired into the wall during a struggle over a weapon on Tuesday afternoon.
32 year-old Marquette woman Amber Rae Suggitt has been arrested for felonious assault. Upon arrival to the scene officers said Suggitt and another woman introduced a weapon into the assault.
Suggitt is currently lodged at the Marquette County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be sought.
No one was injured from the weapon discharge.
MARQUETTE — The Marquette Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon on the city’s east side.
ABC 10 has learned that one person was arrested and no one was injured in the shooting. Police tell us that there is no active threat to the community.
Two female acquaintances involved in the shooting know each other. No names were made public yet, and police said they will release more information on the shooting Wednesday morning.
