Police looking for vehicle involved in hit and run accident

MARQUETTE — The Marquette Police Department is looking for a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run accident Wednesday evening.

At approximately 6:47 p.m., a pedestrian was crossing the street near the middle of the 300 Block of South Front Street, when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle did not stop after the collision.

The vehicle in question is described as a red or possibly white minivan. The pedestrian was transported to UP Health System – Marquette for treatment of injuries he sustained from the collision.
