UPPCO issues phone scam warning

UPPER PENINSULA — Upper Peninsula Power Company is asking their customers to be vigilant of a phone scam occurring throughout the U.P.

According to UPPCO and multiple police agencies, the scammers call posing as UPPCO representatives while threatening to disconnect service unless financial or credit card information is provided within a short period of time.

Customers who receive this call are being asked to abstain from providing any private information and to call UPPCO’s customer service number at 800-562-7680 or by clicking here.
