Accident leaves two drivers with possible injuries
GLADSTONE — A personal injury accident that happened last night sent both drivers involved to the hospital.
Gladstone Public Safety Officers say they responded to an accident at US-2/41 Northbound near Raines Drive around 11:00.
They say the investigation determined that a 44-year-old Escanaba woman was crossing the northbound lane of US-2/41 in order to travel southbound on that road to Escanaba. She says she did not see the 52-year-old Rapid River woman who was traveling northbound.
Both airbags deployed in the vehicles, and both were towed from the scene.
Both drivers were transported to St. Francis for possible internal injuries and neck injuries.
The Escanaba driver was cited for Failing to Yield the Right of Way.
