Sentencing pushed back for man involved in triple homicide case
MANISTIQUE — The sentencing date for a Schoolcraft County man has been pushed back until early next year.
Forty-six year-old Kenneth Brunke was set to be sentenced December 10th on charges of obstruction of justice, a five-year felony, and lying to a police officer during a violent crime investigation, a four-year felony. He will now be sentenced January 21st, 2016.
Police arrested Brunke back in April. He was originally charged with twelve felony counts in connection with the deaths of Jodi Hutchinson, Carrie Ann Nelson and Heather Aldrich.
Brunke entered a guilty plea on two amended charges back in October. There’s no word yet from the Schoolcraft County Prosecutor’s Office on why Brunke’s sentencing has been pushed back.
Brunke’s co-defendant in the case, 47-year-old Garry Cordell, was sentenced to life in prison last month for the deaths of Hutchinson, Nelson and Aldrich.
