Driver taken to the hospital after rollover accident
ONTONAGON TOWNSHIP — One driver was taken to the hospital after a rollover accident in Ontonagon Township.
Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Department deputies say the incident happened around 8:15 p.m. Monday night. A 16-year-old Ontonagon girl was traveling south on Daniels Road about a half mile north of M-38 when she saw a deer on the road.
She lost control of her car and it overturned, traveling on its side for about 100 feet. The car then struck a tree and continued downhill, rolling several times. Police say the driver was unsure of how she lost control of the vehicle.
She was taken to Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital by SONCO North Ambulance. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
