Man arrested after breaking and entering investigation
DUNCAN TOWNSHIP — A South Range man was arrested Tuesday in connection to a breaking and entering incident at a seasonal residence in Duncan Township.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police Calumet Post say search warrants were executed at several locations in both Baraga and Houghton Counties, resulting in the seizure of numerous items of property. During the search, police made contact with the 49-year-old suspect and arrested him in Baraga. He was transported to the Houghton County Jail.
The suspect’s name is being withheld pending review by the Houghton County Prosecutor’s Office. He is expected to be arraigned Monday in 97th District Court.
Troopers have identified some of the owners of property that was seized during the search. The incident remains under investigation.
