Good Morning America to broadcast live in Michigan
MICHIGAN — If you watch Good Morning America, you may be familiar with their chief meteorologist, from Michigan, Ginger Zee.
She is exploring the world, right now and that exploration may include the U.P. As part of “Pure Michigan’s” tourism campaign. There is a contest going on right now to decide where in Michigan Ginger Zee should broadcast the weather from next week and the decision is up to you.
“We have a partnership with Good Morning America” we do some advertising and she is going to do a live remote in Michigan. We are doing a vote where America gets to vote on where in Michigan she should go. This is a live vote that anyone in America can vote on and there are three locations,” said David West, V.P. Travel, MEDC.
Which team had the better season?
- Baraga Girls' Basketball (54%, 78 Votes)
- Houghton Hockey (46%, 67 Votes)
Total Voters: 145
^ Note: Unofficial ABC 10 Poll. Official voting from Good Morning America is now closed.
“It’s my Michigan adventure, there are three beautiful spots to choose from, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore or the Lake of the Clouds in the Porcupine Mountain.”
Each location of course wants to be the winner but they all know that regardless of the place selected, it will be good for Michigan.
“It would create a lot of excitement, we are getting more popular all the time but a lot of people still don’t know we exist. So this would give us national exposure and it will be great for the whole state,” said Kathy Reynolds, Exec. Dir., Alger County C.O.C.
