Drivers cause multiple accidents in Marquette

MARQUETTE – Around 10 a.m. Thursday, the Marquette City Police Department responded to a two–vehicle accident near the intersection of US–41 South and North Lake Street.

Three children were injured in the accident and were transported to U.P. Health System – Marquette for non–life threatening injuries.

While the Marquette Fire Department was helping out with that accident, a motorist southbound on US–41 lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a fire truck. No emergency personnel were injured in that accident. The driver was cited for traveling too fast for conditions and taken to U.P. Health System – Marquette to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Marquette City Police Department would like to remind residents not to venture out during snowstorm and/or whiteout conditions.
