Harvey meth lab suspects arraigned
MARQUETTE — Three men who were living at a motel in Harvey while on parole have been arraigned in District Court on a meth lab charge.
Joshua Lee Bowen, 32; Scott Gerald Silvola, 38; and Spencer Troy Emard, 42; are all charged with operation or possession of a meth lab or meth lab equipment. They’re each being held in the Marquette County Jail on $20,000 bond.
All three men have a probable cause conference scheduled for February 17th and a preliminary exam on the 24th. Judge Roger Kangas appointed attorneys Timothy Quinnell and Andrew Jones to represent Bowen and Silvola, respectively. Emard has opted to represent himself.
Bowen, Silvola and Emard were all living at the Marquette Motor Lodge in Harvey. The Michigan Department of Corrections was paying for their housing during their parole.
The Chocolay Township Police, the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and parole officers found meth-making components in several of the motel’s rooms on January 27th.
