UPDATE: Names released in Iron County UPSET raid
UPDATE: Four men–three from the Upper Peninsula and one from Milwaukee– are facing drug charges after a number of U.P.S.E.T. investigations in Iron County.
Justin Gollakner, 26, Tyler Christensen, 27, Corey Knepp, 28, and Dijon Carter, 23, are all charged with various delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance charges, including heroin and morphine. Knepp is charged as a two-time habitual offender.
Gollackner, Christensen, and Knepp were arraigned in the 95th District Court Thursday morning. They are in jail on $500 cash bonds and will appear in court for preliminary exams December 15.
A fifth suspect, a 19-year-old woman, is charged with delivery/manufacture of ritalin, but she has not been arraigned yet.
They were arrested Wednesday by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and other law enforcement agencies.
Carter was arrested November 6; he was already incarcerated on a weapons charge in Wisconsin.
IRON RIVER — The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) arrested four individuals on multiple drug counts Wednesday in Iron River. Three males and one female were taken into custody.
Charges include delivery/manufacturing a controlled substance Ritalin, delivery/manufacturing a controlled substance Oxycodone, Morphine, Suboxone, and Heroin. All four individuals reside in the Iron River area.
UPSET detectives also arrested a 24-year-old male from Milwaukee, Wisc. on Nov. 6 for delivery and/or manufacturing of cocaine and morphine. Dijon Lovonte Carter was already in police custody in Wisconsin on weapons charges. He has already been arraigned in the 95th District Court.
All four of the recently arrested individuals are being held at this time pending arraignment in the 95th District Court. UPSET Detectives were assisted by Michigan State Police Troopers from the Iron Mountain Post, Iron County Sheriffs Department, Iron River Police Department, and the Caspian Police Department all assisted in the investigation.
