MTU student sexually assaulted on campus
HOUGHTON, Mich. – A female student at Michigan Tech University has reported to the authorities that she was sexually assaulted on campus last week. According to the university website, the female student was walking outside the Walker Arts and Humanities Center on Saturday, Nov. 15 between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., when the alleged sexual assault occurred.
The suspect is being described as a white male in his late 20’s, approximately 5’11” with brownish-reddish hair, blue-green eyes, a pierced left ear, a goatee and a broad build. He was wearing a black t-shirt, jeans with holes, a black winter hat and a checkered blue and white jacket. The suspect was also described as having a graffiti-type tattoo on his left forearm and a very deep voice.
MTU Public Safety and Police Services were notified about the incident on campus through the emergency tipline on Wednesday afternoon.
