Gwinn man charged in Marquette stabbing incident
MARQUETTE — A Gwinn man had been arraigned on three charges for his alleged involvement in a weekend stabbing in Marquette.
Caine Schiefel, 19, is charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, assaulting, resisting, and obstructing a police officer, and malicious destruction of a building between $200-$1,000.
Schiefel was arrested Sunday night after getting into an altercation with Garrin Heller, 19, of Sawyer in the area of Division and Mesnard Streets in Marquette. He allegedly stabbed Heller twice, in the chest and abdomen.
They were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Schiefel is lodged in the Marquette County jail on an$8,500 bond.
