Many injured in Forsyth Township single-car accident
Few details are being released this morning on a serious Sunday accident near Gwinn.
The accident was reported about 2:30 Sunday morning on County Road 557 near Serenity Dr. in Forsyth Township.
According to reports, the single car accident involved numerous victims who were rushed to Marquette General Hospital. The accident is being investigated by the Forsyth Township Police Department assisted by the Michigan State Police.
The names of those involved and their conditions have not been released by police.
It was not clear if the vehicle ran the stop sign at the intersection. However the car left the road a short distance from the intersection and struck several trees.
The accident happened across from the Tall Timber Grocery store.
Assisting on the scene were Marquette General Hospital EMA, Forsyth Township First responders and the Forsyth Township Fire department.
