HARVEY — One woman was taken to the hospital after a two-car accident near the Welcome Center in Harvey Wednesday morning.

The Chocolay Township Police Department says the driver of a Buick LeSabre, Joan Hill of Harvey, was pulling out from the Welcome Center when she struck a Ford sedan driven by Mary Welch of Skandia, who was driving north on U.S. 41/M-28.

Hill was transported to Marquette General Hospital for injuries.  She was found at fault for the accident and cited for failure to yield.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The Marquette Police and Fire Departments, Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, Chocolay Township Fire Department, and Marquette General EMS assisted at the scene.
