MARQUETTE — Two buildings were struck by vehicles in separate incidents this past weekend in the City of Marquette.

Officers from the Marquette City Police Department say one of the incidents occurred shortly before 8:00 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle collided with the Savings Bank Building on the 100 block of South Front Street. No injuries were reported, and the extent of the damage is unknown.

The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated. No names are being released at this time.

This comes after a hit-and-run property damage accident at 122 North Third Street early Saturday morning. Police say a black SUV struck that location around 2:30 a.m. After asking the public for information on the whereabouts of the vehicle involved, police were able to locate the suspect vehicle and its driver based on a tip from a citizen.

That incident is still under investigation.
