Man on suspended license causes woman to crash into telephone pole on U.S. 41
For the second time today, Ishpeming Police responded to a car crash on U.S. 41. This time, it involved an Ishpeming man on a suspended license.
Police say he was attempting to turn left off the highway onto Second Street when he collided with a woman heading westbound on U.S. 41 in a Ford Taurus. The collision caused the woman’s car to crash into a nearby telephone pole. Police say both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time, and neither sought medical treatment.
The male driver will be issued a ticket for failure to yield and taken into custody for driving on a suspended license.
