One person injured in Baraga County US-41 crash
One person is recovering from injuries after a car crash in Baraga County overnight.
Michigan State Police from the Calumet Post’s Baraga Detachment say it happened shortly after 2:30 this morning on US-41 in Covington Township. A Chevrolet passenger car and a tractor-trailer collided near Tioga Creek.
Police say the driver of the car was taken to Baraga County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. No information is available on the driver’s name or on how he or she is doing. The big rig driver was not hurt. Covington EMS, Bay EMS, the L’Anse Fire Department and state troopers from the Negaunee Post assisted at the scene.
Troopers say the crash is still under investigation.
