MGH plans public forum on helicopter service
Marquette General Hospital is holding a public forum later this week to share details with the public about its new helicopter service. The forum will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Conference Room 1 of the MGH Conference Center.
MGH officials say the details they’ll talk about include the planned landing zone location and the planned flight path. The landing zone is planned to be located in a portion of what’s now the Neldberg Building parking lot at College Avenue and Hebard Court. The helicopter itself will be stationed in Escanaba.
The hospital is also still planning construction of the brand-new 240-bed facility and adjoining medical offices that it announced last year. A site search for the new hospital campus is still underway and is expected to be completed this summer.
