Skandia man jailed for his role in pedestrian accident
A Skandia man will spend 45 days in jail for backing his sport utility vehicle over a pedestrian last year.
Daniel Delaski, 57, will also have to serve 12 months of probation. He recently pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated.
Delaski backed his Chevy Trail Blazer over a man in his driveway last September. The victim suffered internal injuries, and at one point he was in critical condition at Marquette General.
At the time of the accident, police said Delaski was trying to give the victim a ride and didn’t know that the man was walking behind the vehicle.
