Three charged for manufacturing over 100 marijuana plants in Manistique
Three people in the Manistique area are being charged with multiple drug related felonies.
The charges were filed with the Schoolcraft County Prosecutor’s Office after UPSET detectives executed two search warrants Thursday at a home on Elk Street and found over 100 marijuana plants. A 48-year-old male, a 32-year-old female, and a 40-year-old male were all arrested as a result. They each face one count of maintaining a drug house, one count of conspiracy to manufacture over 100 marijuana plants, and one count of manufacturing over 100 marijuana plants – a felony punishable by up to seven years in jail and/or a fine of up to $500,000.
The names of the three individuals involved in the case are being withheld until they’ve been arraigned.
UPSET detectives assisted in the investigation by Manistique Public Safety, the Schoolcraft County Sheriff’s Department, and troopers from the Manistique Detachment of the Michigan State Police.
