Suspect arrested for illegally selling prescription drugs
A former Marquette County resident is in police custody in Delta County for his alleged involvement in illegally selling prescription drugs.
The arrest stems from an investigation conducted by detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and officers from the Escanaba Public Safety Department for the illegal sale of prescription medication in Escanaba.
The suspect, a 45-year-old man, was arrested for delivery of a schedule 2 narcotic and delivery of a schedule 3 narcotic.
U.P.S.E.T. detectives say $500 in cash was seized from the suspect.
The suspect’s name will be released following his arraignment.
