A Garden Extravaganza
Master Gardner, Vijai Pandian, will be sharing tips for perfecting your green thumb.
As the keynote speaker at this years’ “Garden Extravaganza – Emerging Trends in Urban Landscape” taking place tomorrow at the University Center, his insights into plant diagnostics and garden rejuvenation is just one of the highlights of the conference.
The conference is for tenured as well as novice gardeners looking to create a greener landscape. Seminars, lectures, displays and vendors will transform the Great Lakes room at the University Center into a plant paradise.
“It gives you the opportunity to look at so many different areas of gardening. You can find an interest or find out more information and you are spending the day with people who are experienced gardeners and master gardeners and everyone gets together and socializes and converses. It’s a nice way to meet up with people who are enthusiastic about gardening,’ said Jill Lamere, Vendor Chairperson.
The 7th annual Garden Conference is hosted by the Marquette Beautification & Restoration Committee. The conference runs from 8am until 3:30pm and tickets can be purchased by calling (906) 226-9904 or online at www.mqtbeautification.org.
