Police find three bodies in vehicle fire
DOYLE TOWNSHIP — The Michigan State Police are investigating a fatal vehicle fire in Schoolcraft County. Three bodies were found inside of a burned up vehicle.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. Friday, MSP Troopers from the Manistique Detachment were called to a gravel road in Doyle Township where a burnt vehicle had been found. The vehicle was completely burnt and was no longer burning when police arrived on scene.
Inside the vehicle were the bodies of three people believed to be from the Gould City and Newberry area. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The families of the people found in the car have been notified. Police are awaiting results from the crime lab for official identification. The investigation is ongoing.
