$7.5 million available for U.P. communities to help with deep freeze costs

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today said the state is moving swiftly to inform 32 communities in northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula of their eligibility for assistance in repairing critical infrastructure damaged during last winter’s deep freeze.

Tonight, expect that first wave of storms to move through before 7pm before light showers linger for the remainder of the night. Friday keeps a chance of showers and storms around early, before the rain exits east later during the afternoon. Tomorrow night clouds will gradually decrease as cooler air arrives. Lows will bottom out in the upper-40s.
