Memorial for Missing Man
The family of a missing Iron Mountain man now believes he won’t be found alive.
They’re asking the community to remember him tomorrow.
It’s been 12 days since 28-year-old Eric Volp disappeared.
He was last seen at the North Stables Pub.
Police say he made cell phone calls looking for a ride home but never got one.
Volp is an insulin-dependent diabetic, and he didn’t have any insulin with him at the time.
City police tried an aerial search yesterday, concentrating on Iron Mountain and Kingsford.
They didn’t find any sign of him.
Civilian search parties that his relatives organized have also come up empty.
There’ll be a memorial mass for him tomorrow at Guardian Angels Church in Crystal Falls.
Eric Volp’s relatives are encouraging anyone who knew him to attend.
