MSP officers resuscitate Moran Township woman

Troopers from the Michigan State Police St. Ignace post were able to save a life this morning.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., troopers responded to an unresponsive 70-year-old female at Clyde’s Drive–Inn in Moran Township.

According to MSP, the woman was working when she collapsed and stopped breathing.

State Troopers Weston Williams and Donna Haw, along with Motor Carrier Officer Jacob Lauer arrived first and began life-saving measures. Williams used an AED to administer one shock.

By the time EMS arrived, the woman’s pulse was restored. She was then transported to the Strait Area Hospital.

Sgt. Mitchell of the St. Ignace Police Department and MSP Motor Carrier Officer Brown also assisted at the scene.
