Gems, minerals, and glowing rocks…
The A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum at Michigan Tech has got it all.
The A.E. Seaman Museum is one of twenty three heritage sites in the Keweenaw Peninsula.
Museum Director John Jaszczak said the museum was awarded a grant to use for upgrades earlier this summer.
Visitors can view the many riches of the Upper Peninsula.
The native copper deposits found here, sit alongside precious gemstones from around the world.
The Mineral Museum is just one chapter in Copper Country mining history.
