Bruce Township Man Arraigned On Assault Charges
BRUCE TOWNSHIP, Mich -A Bruce Township man was arraigned in 91st District Court on five charges Tuesday.
Forty–seven year old Korey Lavigne faces multiple counts including Felonious Assault, Felony Weapons charges, Malicious Destruction of Property and Domestic Assault.
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report from a victim of a domestic assault with shots fired on 8–Mile–Road on Friday.
Police say Lavigne fired three shots from a gun while threatening to kill the victim.
One round was fired in the air, a round in the proximity of the victim and the last shot was directed at a side–by–side.
He was arrested and lodged at the Chippewa County Correctional Facility.
Bail was set at $25,000 cash with a tether and other restrictions.
