Hancock is still cleaning up after a tanker truck full of gasoline tipped over on U.S. 41 yesterday.

Workers were cleaning up and replacing sections of U.S. 41 impacted by the spill today. It is unclear how much fuel was spilled.

Detours were still in effect, but they hoped to reopen the highway tomorrow.

Beaches and waterways along the Portage Canal have reopened.

But the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department is asking people to avoid areas with obvious oil sheen.

The next update will be when U.S. 41 reopens.
