Bi-partisan package of bills to combat Opioid Epidemic in Michigan

A bi–partisan bill package to expand treatment for opiod addiction could be available in Michigan.

The proposed legislation was introduced to expand treatment for opioid use disorder to emergency departments.

It would also increase access to naloxone. Hospitals that treat over 50 overdoses per year would qualify for funding to offer the treatment, officials say.
