The alleged threat that closed down Gwinn area public schools has been identified.

The district told parents to keep their kids at home today while they investigate an alleged gun threat.

The school worked with Forsyth township police and determined that the threat had been made up by the student who reported it.

Superintendent Sandy Petrovich thanks the parents, students and staff for their patience during the investigation.
