Veterans copays on the way
The Department of Veterans Affairs suspended sending patient statements regarding copays to veterans.
Those fees were not waived, they were only deferred meaning veterans will begin receiving statements in January 2021.
Patients statements may include new copay charges for medical care and prescriptions from April 6th through December 31st as well as any unpaid copay charges from before April 2020.
Veterans who can’t make payments when billing starts again can call the VA at (866) 400 -1238.
