NEGUANEE, Mich. – The Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council have set up a can drive to gain funds to maintain the Historic Vista Theater.

The PAAC has set a goal of $100,000 in order to maintain the Vista theater through the winter. They hope to raise $10,000 through the can drive alone.

PAAC member Eliias Gladwell says, “The Vista Theater is a huge staple in downtown Negaunee. We are there for the community… It is a gem in the downtown of Negaunee and it’s been forever, it’s historic so people have a lot of memories there.”

There are various drop off points for cans through the week, at Super One Foods in both Negaunee and Marquette.

The PAAC has currently raised over $40,000 towards maintaining and then rebuilding the theater.
