MARQUETTE & ALGER COUNTIES — The Women’s Center is looking for men to help in the fight against domestic and sexual violence.

Now in its fifth year, the 200 Good Men campaign brings men from Marquette and Alger Counties together to raise funds for the center.

Executive director Beth Casady says many men support the Women’s Center’s mission, but that they don’t always know how they can get involved. This campaign gives men a simple way to directly help those in their community who have endured domestic abuse.

“We really feel that men are a part of the dialogue of helping to combat domestic and sexual violence in our communities,” said Casady. “Because of the circumstances of our time and with many people being laid off at work or losing money, we’re asking for any donation more or less of $100 and we will recognize that person.”

Due to the pandemic, the 200 Good Men campaign is The Women’s Center’s only fundraising event for this year. The funds raised will be crucial to helping the center continue to serve victims and survivors.

The campaign ends on August 15. To fill out a pledge form or to learn more, visit wcmqt.org. Additional details are available on the campaign Facebook page.
