Bay College to start fall semester August 17th

ESCANABA — Students at Bay College will hit the books early.
The fall semester commences August 17th, which is two weeks earlier than its original start date.
“We wanted them to be able to get started, and be able to complete a semester without getting interrupted, if things can go well,” said Laura Coleman, President of Bay de Noc Community College. ” So the idea of starting in the middle of August and going through thanksgiving, just ,made a whole lot of sense.”
The semester is set to end on November 25th.
Laura Coleman also says a big reason for this decision was because the students wanted to return to campus and have the semester end before flu season.
