Negaunee Public Library announces return plan

NEGAUNEE — The Negaunee Public Library has announced their five phase plan to reopen to the public.

The plan starts with phase one on June 15th, with minimal contact curbside service. Phase two includes expanded curbside services, phase three will offer limited library access, phase four will have expanded library access, and phase five is the complete opening of the library.

“Slow and steady wins the race,” said Jessica Holman, Director of the Negaunee Public Library. “We’ll be taking this cautiously, pretty much like other libraries around here. Throughout the past couple months, I’ve had phone calls, Facebook messages, emails, ‘So, when can we get new books?’ And I am happy to be able to say you can start getting books next week.”

The library will also be having musician Troy Graham performing on their Facebook page to kick off the reopening on June 15th.
