MARQUETTE — With Governor Whitmer slowly reintroducing parts of the state’s economy, one local nonprofit is helping businesses prepare to reopen.

The Lake Superior Community Partnership is holding a webinar this Friday, to get area businesses prepared to reopen their doors. Having the webinar is helpful for businesses as they approach uncertain territory in difficult times.

“It’s important just to answer those general questions,” said Mary Myers, Director of Business Development at the LSCP. “We have subject matter experts that can answer the questions that businesses are having. We need to realize that businesses aren’t at this alone and they need to utilize the resources that are out there available to them. So use your economic development organization, talk to your attorney, your bankers, your accountants, and know that you’re not in this alone during the reopening of this.”

The webinar will feature a panel of experts in a variety of fields, including health and safety, human resources, marketing and promotions, and employment law.

If you miss the webinar, which is scheduled for this Friday at 10 am, a recording will be available on the LSCP’s website.
