MARQUETTE — Due to the coronavirus outbreak, The 62nd Annual Art on the Rocks Fine Art Show has been canceled.

The art show was originally scheduled for July 25th and 26th but is now canceled entirely. After weeks of discussion and planning, Art on the Rocks believed this was the best decision in order to keep the public safe.

“We had to make a call as soon as possible,” said Tristan Luoma, Director of Art on the Rocks. “A lot of our artist come from out of state so they’re already making their travel plans. Nobody wants to make these kinds of calls and announcements. It’s painful for everyone involved. I know there’s going to be some frustration with it, I feel that too. Like I said, nobody wanted this outcome but we’re working through it and people are being supportive. That’s really important as we try to get pass this.”

Art on the Rocks would like to thank the community for their continued support of local artists, and they look forward to the Art on the Rocks show on July 24th and 25th of 2021.
