Jimmy John restaurants close across U.P.

MARQUETTE — A few owners across the U.P. have decided to close their restaurants to protect their employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The owners of the U.P. Jimmy Johns establishments have decided to close all locations across the U.P. until further notice. They feel that they are not essential enough to expose their staff to additional risk during this time. The local Jimmy John restaurants will continue to pay their employees and health insurance while they are closed, for as long as they are able to.

The owners will also be donating several hundred pounds of food that would have been used at local food banks across the U.P., to hopefully help others through the pandemic.
