Gwinn High School Football Coach suffers fatal natural medical event
GWINN — The authorities were called to Gwinn High School for a medical emergency regarding GHS Head Football Coach Dion Brown on January 22, 2020.
The head football coach was found unresponsive by a colleague. When First Responders arrived they began immediate resuscitation efforts, but were unable to revive him. An autopsy conducted at UPHS Marquette determined that Coach Dion Brown suffered a natural medical event. No foul play is suspected.
The Forsyth Police Department would like to express its condolences to Coach Dion Brown’s family and also the Gwinn High School. Coach Dion Brown was a dedicated role model and mentor for area youth athletes.
